Our helpdesk aims to offer an empathic, reassuring, experienced, consistent, and knowledgeable team response, that can advise and support families. They may offer an initial assessment to help you all decide what the next steps should be.
The Adoption Support Team works mainly with families where the child is aged 0-18 years. However, we can also support young adopted adults to access the Adoption Support and Special Guardianship Fund (ASGSF) up to the age of 21 years (or to age 25 if they have an active EHCP) as well as information, advice, and signposting.

The Helpdesk is open 10am-2pm Monday to Friday and aims to respond to all enquiries within three working days.
The team respond to emails and telephone messages outside of these hours and book appointments as agreed with families.
