SUMMARY:10 Online Week Therapeutic Parenting course - for existing adopters
DESCRIPTION:Do you sometimes find your child’s behaviour hard to understand? Do some of\nYour parenting techniques seem ineffective.\n We are running a course for adoptive parents\, looking specifically at the impact of\nchildren’s early experiences on their behaviour and emotional well-being. We will\nbe exploring alternative parenting ideas and strategies.\nThe course will run for 10 sessions on Tuesday mornings from 10 am-12 pm. These\nwill be online via MS TEAMS.\nThe first session will be held on 9/9/25 and the final session on 25/11/25\, with\nbreaks at the start and end of October. You will need to be able to attend all\nten sessions.\nActual dates: 9/9\, 16/9\, 23/9\, 30/9\, 14/10\, 21/10\, 4/11\, 11/11\, 18/11\, 25/11.\nThe course is aimed at families with children below secondary school age.\n\nPlease contact Adoptionsupporthelpdesk@adoptionwest.co.uk\, or your Post ADoption Support worker for more details. \nPlease include your name and your child’s name and age in your email.

SUMMARY:Amazing Wallabies - Stay and Play
DESCRIPTION:Social group for children and babies (and their parents/carers). \nWe follow a simple format for the session: introductions to begin with\, and then lots of playing (and some chatting for the grown-ups). Possibly a song or a story at the end 😊.  And\, there are refreshments available. We sometimes attempt a simple craft activity. \nOur first few sessions have been well-received with lots of positive feedback. Our main focus is offering a relaxed environment for adoptive parents and EP Carers to meet and socialise with people who have children of similar ages. \nIf you would like to join us\, please contact rebecca.myers@adoptionwest.co.uk\, with your child’s name and age. \nWe look forward to seeing you soon.
